1 . Entry into the League is by invitation only. Permanent membership will be voted on at the A.G.M. after playing one season. 2 . Matches   are   played   on   Tuesday   evenings   and   start   at   8.00pm.   (7.30pm   for   Clubs   using   only   one   table).   The   match commences   with   a   draw   to   determine   opponents.   The   home   team   captain   chooses   the   order   of   play.   Games   will   run continuously   on   at   least   one   table   until   the   match   is   completed   (i.e.   there   will   be   no   breaks   for   such   as   refreshments   unless both captains agree). 3 . Any   requests   to   accommodate   the   opposition,   i.e.   players   wishing   to   play   first   or   last,   must   be   decided   by   the   captains before play starts. The deadline for late arrivals is 9.30 p.m. unless agreed otherwise by both captains prior to play starting. 4 . Matches   may   not   be   cancelled   under   any   circumstances.   Any   team   unable   to   commence   play   by   8pm   (or   for   clubs   with one table 7-45pm) will lose one point and a further point for every fifteen minutes it is in default. 5 . If   a   team   turns   up   with   4   players,   then   one   player   will   be   allowed   to   play   twice   if   the   remaining   player   fails   to   turn   up   and there   are   no   substitutes   available.   The   player   will   be   selected   by   means   of   a   draw   which   will   take   place   at   the   time   of   the match   draw   unless   both   captains   agree   otherwise.   If   a   selected   player   is   not   able   to   play   twice   then   the   opposition   must   be notified   at   the   time   of   selection   so   a   different   player   could   be   selected.   Refusal   to   play   by   a   player   will   result   in   the   forfeit   of the   frame.   This   can   be   done   6   times   during   the   League   season.   If   a   team   turns   up   with   less   than   4   players,   then   no   player will   be   allowed   to   play   twice.   Points   for   un-played   frames   will   be   awarded   to   the   opposition.   Please   note   this   on   your   result card. 6 . If   a   team   fails   to   turn   up   for   3   games,   then   they   will   be   removed   from   the   League.   All   results   for   the   team   will   be   removed from the League standings. 7 . Both   team   captains   are   responsible   for   results.   All   results   to   reach   the   secretary   by   the   Friday   following   the   match.   Failure to   do   so   will   result   in   both   teams   being   deducted   2   points   from   their   League   Cup   handicap.   Each   team   will   be   allowed   to forward   a   result   in   late   once   without   penalty .   League   tables   will   be   updated   on   the   website   on   a   regular   basis   and   are available from the Secretary on request. 8 . WPBSA   rules   apply   with   the   exception   of   Section   3.14   (Foul   and   a   Miss).   Snooker   rules   are   now   available   on   the   World Snooker website. They can also be downloaded or purchased from this site. 9 . Players   wishing   to   change   teams   may   do   so   once   only   during   the   league   season.   Before   playing   for   a   new   team   they   must miss two consecutive league games. 1 0 . All   individual   club   rules   i.e.   age,   dress   etc.,   will   apply   to   visitors.   If   in   doubt   check   with   the   club   or   the   League   Secretary before visiting. Any individual in dispute with any club in the league should settle the dispute before visiting. 1 1 . Snooker   League   positions   will   be   calculated   on   frames   won.   If   at   the   end   two   or   more   teams   are   equal   on   frames   then   the following criteria will be applied to determine positions: - Most matches won between the teams in question Most frames gained in matches played between the teams in question Most matches won in matches played between the teams in question if the tie is between two teams, and it is permissible, a play-off match will be played (this will only be applied to determine winners, runners-up & relegation places) lots will be drawn between the teams in question (this will only be applied to determine winners, runners-up & relegation places) 1 2 . INDIVIDUAL/DOUBLES   KNOCKOUTS.   Qualification   is   one   league   game   played   for   your   club.   Entrance   fee   –   No   cost. Draw for the first round will be made on Tuesday 14 th November 2023. 1 3 . LEAGUE   CUP.   Qualification   is   three   league   games   played   for   your   club   or   players   who   are   not   able   to   play   the   required number   of   games   must   be   registered   by   Tuesday   30 th   January   2023 .   Entry   is   free   for   each   team.   The   rules   and   format   for this competition will be decided at the League Cup draw. A representative from each team will be required to attend. Refreshments for visiting teams are at the discretion of the home team.
